I'm currently using a Samsung syncmaster 955SL. A few days ago the vertical boundaries of the screen started to behave abnormally.
At random intervals they would get distorted and compact inwards about an inch, and cause some slight distortion in the center of the screen as well. Then they would expand back to their original positions with no distortion.
When this problem occurs, the system isn’t running hot,
and neither is the monitor.
I have checked all the cable connections, and the video card is seated properly in its’ slot.
I even upgraded the video drivers for my GEFORCE2 GTS-V 4X/2X from the 30.82 version to the latest 41.09 version.
However, I did chang the refresh rate from "optimal" to "100hz" in the control panel under the display/ geoforce2 adapter settings, and it has lessened the number of occurrences of this problem.
