1 grahpics card is running at X16 and the other at X8

mobo - asus m2n sli deluxe
4 GB ram
amd 6400 3.2ghz dual core
sli dual nvidia geforce 8800 gt alpha dog edition


my problem is that 1 grahpics card is running at X16 and the other at X8, is this because the mother board does not have 2 X16 pci-e lanes? the computer runs better one 1 card

Ya can't run it in x16 for both cards.

Do you have the SLI bridge hooked up?
