Can't seem to find the right motherboard

You do know that an i7 860 is a socket 1156 CPU which goes in a P55 motherboard and the i7 930 is a socket 1366 CPU which goes in an x58 motherboard?

Gigabyte also makes the GA-X58A-UD3 if you want to go with the 930.

Thanks a lot, also, does the usb 3.0 and the SATA 6GB slow down when using a PCIE GPU and if so would it be better to get a board with 2 GPU interfaces eventho I will only use 1 but could use the extra bandwith to run the USB and SATA at full speed?

Best solution

no. it does not. with the marvel chip installed on this new mobo's it wont. i dont know with the others. if you want ALL full speed. like x16/x16 then 6gb usb3 go for the x58 chipset its for the i7. its a lga 1366 socket. it differs from the p55. hte Lga 1156 cpu. just like what dndhatcher said. and like what he picked. if you like asus. go with asus P6X58D-E or if your giga. ga-x58a-u3dr . its the same mobo. just different brands
