Battlefield restarts after installing Radeon 5970

Hi...

I've installed Radeon 5970 today, and started battlefield bad company 2. I'm not albe to play the game. When i start it immediately the game ends and one time my system restarted. All happened after installing 5970.

Uninstall and reinstall BFBC2. It's probably still "looking" for the old video card.

Which Catalyst driver version did you install? Also, did you also install ATI's Crossfire profiles pack? The 5970 is technically Crossfire on a single PCB.

Is furmark stable?

Do you have the 10.4 Preview Drivers?

Have you checked your ram and CPU stability with Prime95 and memtest86+ 4?

Is anything OC'ed?

I had the same problem before. I think simply restarting my computer helped or running Bad Company 2 as administrator.

Try running the Bad Company 2 updater.

I tried with restarting and disabling the onboard card. But still it has problem. Also i feel like the graphics is not really good which i'd expected from a 5970.

Well, the 10.4 is practically made for BC2 I think, so worth a shot. And 87C is quite reasonable in furmark.

Documents>BFBC2 folder>setting.ini

Change the default resolution to something else. Trying turning fullscreen off or vsync off.

Im running a 5850 and the 10.4 driver cut my BF2 map load times by more than half which I am really pleased with, hope it helps you with your issue.

Have you also tried other games to see if the problem appears on them also ??.

Ok...I'll try to change the resolution. But you mean changing it only temporarily right ? Otherwise there was no need to invest on a 5970

I tried with the Catalyst CC 10.4. Now i can play the game. But like all others say it's not really smooth always...sometimes the frame rate goes down...

I've installed Crysis... and played the game with high settings.But graphics quality is not good. It's just like my old Radeon 5750. I couldn't see any difference in graphics. What is wrong here... ????????????
