I added a Rosewill RC-505 PCI card to my W7 machine and am having mixed results, but slower across the board than I had hoped for.
I have a Barracuda 7200 RPM internal HDD and am transferring a lot of data to an Hitachi Touro 3TB external drive and the transfer rate is 26MB/s. Thats awfully slow. The Hitachi is supposed to be USB 3 capable but I've gotta wonder.
It has performed faster with other drives, but this one is sloooooooow.
