I've installed a Radeon 5970 with latest Catalyst 10.4. But when i play the game it looks like my old Radeon 5750 quality. How can i verify that both the GPU's are working properly?

my system configuration is :

AMD Phenom 2 x4 965
Corsair XMS3 Dominator 4GB 2-Kit Phenom II DDR3 1600MHz CL8-8-8-24
HDD WD Caviar Black 3.5" 1TB SATA-III,7200rpm, 64MB Cache, 8.9ms
Corsair PSU HX850W, 850W
Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H

Both are working, quality is determined by the game not the card. the card is going to bump up your frames per second. And of course with so much power you can turn up AA and AF, but a 5750 can render the exact same image as a 5970 it'll just take alot longer

Is there any tools to measure the speed of both GPU. I used GPU-Z. But it shows the speed of only one core.

since it's a dual slot gpu both gpu cores will ramp up to high clocks at the same time, so if one is at 725mhz and 1000 mem then, both are

Use MSI afterburner. It gives you a time graph.

Make sure Catalyst AI is enabled. Otherwise it would only use a single core.

And yes better card doesn't make the image better automatically. You need to boost settings for that. What game are you playing anyway?

I played battlefield and open the AMD overdrive. I could see that only one core is working. The other one is stil with 0 degree temp.

I've taken a screen shot... how can i attach a file? And how can i enable catalyst AI?

sorry for that, I'm was making a brash assumption about your situation, glad to see you found a solution

Back after some months, with the same problem. Catalyst AI is enabled now, but In AMD overdrive voltage and temperature are disabled for one GPU. And the game closes after some time of playing.

Only change is I'd replaced my motherboard(old one was not working). Any ideas????
