Bios flash: Is it necessary for this new CPU?

and I'm planning on getting a Phenom II X4 945x Deneb: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...
Now, what I'm wondering is if I'll need to update my bios at all. On cpu-upgrade I read that they tested my board and that particular cpu while running version 1.9 of the bios. (I have 1.5) I'm not sure if it's necessary to upgrade and I'd like to avoid flashing my bios if at all possible. If anyone has any answers or suggestions, that would be most helpful.

well you can simply install the CPU and see what happens, just have the new BIOS ready to go on a USB flash drive
