Hi All,

My PC was working fine... since a long time, but lately, I've been getting this error while starting up my PC:

"Media test failure, check cable". And the PC fails to boot up.

I've tried changing my cables, and tried getting a new hard disk too. Tried checking my network cable also, but the problem seems to be something else.

Any ideas what else could be wrong here?

Thanks in advance.

Strange ... huh ... I'm just going to "guess-around", a little, if you don't mind.

... But, first ... I just want to ask ...

You said "..., but lately, I've been getting this error ... " ...

Every time?

Cold boot?

Reset after power-up? (let all fans and drives reach full speed and THEN hit the reset switch ... what happens? )

Does it EVER boot ok? ... Any "circumstantial consistencies"?

Always/sometimes/never ?

Can you see how knowing this might help us ?
