Unganged mode gigabyte

Hello, When i installed both of my ddr 2 667 1 gb memory modules, i kept getting the BSOD. I took out one of the modules, and now it works.. I am hoping once i update the bios, i will be able to have moth 1 gb memory sticks installed with no issues.. Any thoughts?

Chances are 99% that the stick just came deffective, I'd return or RMA it.
