Only 150Mb/s with 300mb/s devices

I have a DGL-4500 which is capable of 270-300Mbits, and an Intel 5100 wireless card, but I am only hitting 150Mbits and i was able to hit higher before how can i get the full potentional, is my wireless card suck in 20mhz channels?

EDIT: wireless card is 20Mhz or Auto no 40Mhz only mode

EDIT2: when i changed the wireless router to 20Mhz only channels i was gettin 54Mbs-64Mbits, and double that when in 40 Mhz channel mode, im nto that far from the router why is this happening, (I am using the 2.4 frequency, 5.0 doesnt penetrate well enough)

keep the card at auto mode and chande the router to 20/40 mhz or just 40mhz use WPA-AES or WPA2-AES as your wireless security

that is what it is set to, im having various networking problems so the wireless issue has been put to the side for awhile
