  4. These are the parts I have come up with:

    MOBO + CPU - Giga 890GPA-UD3H with AMD X4 955

    GPU - PowerColor 5850

    HDD - Seagate 7200.12 1TB

    RAM - Kingston 12800/1600 CL9

    PSU - Seasonic M12II-520W

    Case - CoolerMaster HAF 922

OS - Windows Home Premium 7
  5. i'd go with a gtx 260 or 470 over ati just to be safe. they may run a lot hotter, but there will be no compatibility problems with autocad and other vector programs.
  6. For AutoCAD 2D, I'd lean Nvidia 470.....ATI never was strong in AutoCAD but performance was abysmal up until 10.4 drivers. Not heard much since the new drivers were released. I generally build / recommend 1366 based systems for AutoCAD ....but that's a $1,400 + system.

    ASUS P7P55D-E Pro LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0
