Worthwhile upgrade to DDR3 mobo and mem?

Current rig:

Q9550, stock speed
Asus Rampage Formula
8 GB DDR2 @ 1002, 7 CAS
GTX 560

For ~150, I can go to a 775 DDR3 mobo.

Would this be worthwhile?
If so, which mobo would you choose? No need for SLI.

1) It is not worth it... IMO!! Wait till you move to your next platform when the Q9550 starts to not meet your requirements.

2) The only SLI capable DDR3 motherboard I'm aware of is the Nvidia 790i, which is A) discontinued and B) Cost more than $150, if you find one
