I have a g31 based motherboard from gigabyte will it bottle neck my gts 250 vard

Hello,i have a g31 based motherboard with intel core 2 duo e7400 processor and 4 gigs of ram and gts 250 graphic card.i have a friend of mine who has the smae system configuiration but with a p45 based motherboard. i saw that he gets much better frame rates in any game compared to mine is it because of my motherboard?

No because motherboard doesn't make a noticeable difference in performance.
You are running your card in a PCI-E 1.0 motherboard whereas your friend is running it in a PCI-E 2.0 motherboard and PCI-E 1.0 doesn't have a noticeable difference with 2.0 in gaming
