Hello,
I was wondering if there is anyway i can use a ATI X-fire HD 5770 with an nvidia 9600gt as I already have the nvidia and want to buy an additional crossfire hd 5770 without the need to sell my nvidia

No, you cannot mix ATI and NVidia and have them work together. Also, physics will now work on the NVidia when you are using ATI as the primary graphics card (without a 3rd party update).

Nope...They use the same concept but they use different software to run them

Have to save up for another 5770 :)

I understand your question as follows:
Can you use crossfire 5770s at the same time as a 9600gt?

If that is what you are asking, yes you can. You can even use modified drivers to run physX on it, or simply use it for extra monitors. This of course assuming you have a third PCIe slot. AS those above have stated, you can not actually crossfire the 9600 with the 5770.
