That mobo will put him over his budget. I guess so does the HSF i posted but if he wants to OC he will need it.

Sure there are different parts but ( we need to give them what they need for the budget they have ) or else why not just go X58/i7 930 with a few HD 5970s and raid a few 250 gig SSD.
  4. yeah ur ryt. maybe a 770t giga? and stuff in a 5670?

If that's what fits his budget, but it dont
  6. $700 fits that. i think. with a rana cpu. and antec 300.
  7. Which PSU and case exactly?

    --Jin
  8. a corsair 550 or 500 wats.

He has a case and psu so why tell him to get a higher priced mobo ? Why dont you read what he needs and post back with the parts and price.
  10. oh. i didnt read. . a higher price mobo because he's asking for any mobo advice.

He needs a mobo, cpu, ram and a GPU for 700 bucks
  12. cpu:amd 955 3.2ghz
    mobo:GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 AM3 AMD 890FX
    gpu:ati hd 5770
    ram:gskill 4gb

and u say a 890fx would not fit his budget. and with the 5770 card he will run games mostly at high. or even max. at his resolution.or maybe not

    total $609.96.

i dont know about the 5850.. sorry for not using combos.

and also for no hsf.but get cm hyper 212. as suggested by niklas

The HD 5850 will be a better match for his rez, IMO both mobo will do the job. if you add the HD 5850 at 140 more and the HSF at 30 its over his budget.

I have a HD 5850 and play @ 1920x1080 and i even have to play at high and no AA on some games. vs very high and 4xAA so the HD 5770 would not be a grate card if you like to play with a lot of eye candy on.

IMO the best card for a rez of 1920x1080 would be HD 5870 or a GTX 480
  14. yeah. your right. but the gtx480 right now is overpriced. and ati is just crushing nvdia. recomend to go for a 5850
