Map a network drive using IP address

Currently mapped network drive is using an IP address that needs to be changed to another IP

  1. Thanks for your response Chicano, but I probably didn't pose the question very well. I don't need to change my pc IP address, but need to change the IP address for a mapped network drive that is currently using the server's name.

    I have been given an IP address that leads to a different server than the one that is currently mapped (by UNC).

    Hopefully I have cleared this up and not made it worse!

  3. to make it flexible, i have used host names to map network drives seeing that I have a PC that contains folders shared in the network and my PC's ip address is dynamic, and i have never had any issues :)
