Router prblem

I bought a D-LINK EBR-2310 a few weeks ago and I got a weird problem.

It usually works fine but once like every 15 mins I lose my connection.
All pages time out while I surf on the internet.
It last for about 2 mins then it start working perfectly again.

It's not that big a problem but it's really annoying.

Any idea what could be the problem?
Is this a setting problem or the router is defective?

I got a cable connection and a PS3 is the other thing linked with my router.
I think the router isn't defective because I never had any problem with my PS3 connection so I'm guessing it's something about the settings on my PC.

Thanks

Patrick

  1. I found something while "googleing"

    http://www.tweakxp.com/article37177.aspx

    I did what it says.

Will see if it makes a difference
  2. Didn't help.

    Anyone has another idea?
  3. Seeing as how this is an older device, first thing you should do is confirm you have the latest firmware.

The next time it happens, go to Start->Run, type "cmd" (no quotes), and hit enter. In the command window, type "ipconfig /all > temp.txt" (no quotes) and post the file's contents here.

Once it returns to normal, generate a second ipconfig dump and post it as well.

I want to see if something happens to your TCP/IP configuration during these outages.
