Sapphire Radeon 5850 Vapor-x 1GB vs 2GB

Hello, I will be purchasing a 5850 vapor-x within the next month. The price difference between the 1gb and 2gb models is currently approximately 50 dollars. If I'm running games at a 1920x1080 resolution, would I notice any performance increase from the 1gb to the 2gb model? How much so / is it worth the extra 50?

  1. There is very little difference between the cards except running eyefinity on multiple screens at large resolution. Here is an review comparing the two versions of 5870 (comparable results) http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-5870-eyefinity6,2595.html
That should answer your question's. I personally would safe the $50
  2. Thanks for the info.
  3. I second that. 512 to 1G is a bigger jump in performance than 1G to 2G.
