If you can squeeze it into your budget you should consider the 5850 instead.

Otherwise looks good.

Depends on how much capacity you need. The current build I'm working in is going to be a 1TB drive. The Samsung Spinpoint F3 is a good one at that capacity.

I have a 19 in monitor with 1280x1024. I was looking at the 5850 but I didn't think the extra 150 would be worth it.

I also am trying to justify the 58-- over the 57-- series... it's over twice as much. Wouldn't it be worth it to just get the 57--, wait a few years until the 58-- comes down to a similar price, and then upgrade and / or crossfire?

Or does it depend on how hardcore you are about gaming...

A 5770 is okay then. We usually assume 1920x1080 gaming, since it's relatively cheap.
