Hi there Toms Folks

I've purchased a new rig last week or so.

this is the specs :

Intel Core i7 930
Gigabyte Ga-X58A-UD3R
3*2GB OCZ HPC Reaper 1866MHZ

2* Sapphire HD5850 in crossfire.

1* XFX 8800 GTS G92 512MB DDR3 AlphaDog Edition

the problem is, i cant get the 8800 to work with others !!

the system wont even bootup.

what seems to be the problem ??

whenever the card ( 8800 ) is removed the system works just fine.

as soon as i put the stupid 8800, system won't POST.

You can either use the Crossfire setup or then you can get yourself another 8800 and get an SLI setup to work, but you can't have them together in the same system. It's something which has got something to do with the two biggest graphics card manufactures policies.
Like Coke and Pepsi....... you can't find them in the same bottles or using each others bottles...... :) even if it helps to save the earth from more bottles...... and heaps of junk......
Or you can get a new board, the MSI Bigbang..... that's nearly 400USD ( I think) if you can lay your hands on one and have no dearth of funds...... and get them all to work together.

Thank you guys for your reply.

I'm only planing to use it as a physX Processing Unit.

My PSU ran HD5870 + two HD5850 in my very RIG.

But with the 8800 GTS installed instead of the HD5870, the system won't bootup!!

so its not a PSU issu.

any hints here ??
