How to convert lan modem to wireless modem

Hello,
i hv a external modem(lan)to connect to internet by jacking the cable to the USB lan port. I want a home made practical way to convert it into a wireless modem without buying a seperate wireless router.

If any one knows ,,,pls share

You probably need a Wireless Access Point but you want one that can connect to USB.

Probably cost no more and work better to buy a regular wireless router.
