PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Monitor, Speakers, Keyboard, Mouse, OS

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg online, microcenter and frys locally

OVERCLOCKING: Most likely

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

If your old DVD burner isn't SATA then get a new one.

Don't need a sound card, onboard these days is fine.

Why are you recommending the older 790??

It's a lot cheaper and there's no real difference. A quick BIOS update give 790 all the features and the slight tweaks in the 890 are very minor and useless to everyday users.

If the difference was $10 or 15 i'd say go for it, at $35 after MIR, not worth it.
