Raid card Adaptec or Intel for Windows server 2008 r2

Hi I'm building a new server for home and it will be running Windows Server 2008 R2,
and need help choosing a RAID card/controller.

Components:
Corsair Cx-430 V2 Power Supply
Antec Three Hundred case( all fan ports populated to cool components)
Intel Xeon E3-1245 "Sandy Bridge"
Intel S1200BTLR ATX LGA 1155 Motherboard
Kingston 8 GB ECC memory

I have been doing some research and I found that the Intel RS2WC040
is compatible.

I have heard that Adaptec make good raid cards.

Would it be possible for anyone to see if the is good and other different RAID card options
are welcomed.

I will be using 2TB Enterprise 7200rpm WD Drives X2 in raid 1 (mirror)

1TB Black WD and 1TB Blue WD in also Raid 1. Is it possible to have this setup?

yes intel and and adaptec both make excellent raid adapters. I have used Adaptec and have never had any issues with them.

would you recommend the Adaptec 2405 over the Intel?

The intel is compatible with the motherboard but I'm not sure about the Adaptec, but I think it should be?

yes they are both compatible with your motherboard. I like both Intel and Adaptec but I have had more experience with the Adaptec one.
