  1. Hello
1_Yes but the difference is quite noticeable, the i7 desktop models have faster clock and consume more power,so overall they have better performance
2_Few models(such as some Alienware/Clevo models) allow users to upgrade the VGA
3_The best laptop(in terms of performance)is currently AW M17x which has 2 5870Ms(performs a little worse than 2 5770 desktop in CrossFire),so its a good performer but with the same price you can get a much more powerful desktop.

ya dude i already have a good desktop system....! but also want a gaming laptop....
  3. Then if you want to run avp, crysis, rs5,bc2,consider a notebook with 2 VGAs like AW M17x(don't expect great battery life from it though)
  4. Well a budget will help to start. If you want a true desktop replacement for gaming at a reasonable price... i'd look at this
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220695

Runcs crysis at 1920x1080 on high at average 30fps.

Of course you can spend up to 3grand for a gaming laptop... all depends on your budget.
  5. Your probably gonna spend over $2000 and still have a weaker set up than your desktop, but it's your money if your gonna try to max games out. Your laptop will also run so hot it needs to sit on a desk, and have such short battery life it needs to be plugged in all the time.
