Need help fixing a netbook...

My netbook's Windows XP installation got corrupted or something and is now unable to boot into Windows. I used "winsetupfromusb" to create a bootable USB disk containing Windows XP installation files but whenever I tried to install, it gives a "cmd.exe" error. What should I do?

when u try to install, did u modify the start up to usb 1st? or try boot up from other devices?
