Best simple mouse.

I am looking for a cheap/mid range wired mouse that isn't bulky and full of buttons.

I've tried the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical, which has good feet but a clunky scroll wheel.

I've also tried the Logitech SBF-96, which had a good scroll wheel but terrible feet that didn't work with my steelseries pad.

Is there any mouse out there that is simple in form and works great?

An MX-518 may be a gaming mouse but it's simple and better then a regular mouse.
It's cheap when on sale under $40.
Just don't use the install cd let windows install the generic drivers.
These are also a little better then 800/1000dpi mice.

I use the Microsoft Basic Optical myself. Works great for a $10 mouse.
