I am from Trinidad and a local guy is offering the following USED IS THIS A GOOD DEAL?

4870 - $850 ($134.92 USD)

That's about it.

MY 4870 IS DEAD AND I WAZ GOING TO BUY A GTX 470 BUT IT IS AROUND THE PRICE OF THIS SYSTEM I WAS THINK OF BUYING THE SYSTEM HOLD OUT AND BUY THE FERMI LATER! IS THIS SYSTEM A GOOD BUY!!!
 
Obviously the system you mention originally is slower than your current one. In the US, I wouldn't buy the original system for more than $200. You're talking about a very weak and outdated motherboard, a budget CPU, and off brand ram. The HD4870 and samsung drive are the two most worthwhile things.

It looks like you are mainly wanting this other system to part out? If you can get the HD4870 at $135, that would be your best bet, but it sounds like that may be used, in which case that's not a very good price.
I don't know what the market will bear in Trinidad unfortunately, but none of these seem like particularly good deals for used parts.
Used PC parts are worse than used cars, their resale value is terrible. If I were you I would shop around a little.

Fix your caps lock key. Mods like to lock/delete threads posted in all caps.

I wouldn't buy that system simply because of the horrendous RAM and PSU. Using a system with those is only a good idea if you're a masochist who loves to spend all your time diagnosing and fixing PC issues.
