what is the difference between 2.5 core to due and i5 cpu

I'm assuming you're talking about mobile CPUs.

The Core 2 Duo T9300 (I'm thinking this is the CPU you are talking about) 2.5 GHz perform around the same, maybe slightly slower than the Core i5 430M series. With the Core i5 500M series, it will outperform the Core 2 Duo T9300.

I think that's T9300 Lmeow,so i think you are right,because we don't have a desktop 2.5Ghz C2D/i5.
And yes,i5 430M will perform better than a T9300 and has less power consumption too
