what is the ram timing.... ? i mean to say there are alot of rams having same catagary but different timings....
so my question is that which ram timing is best... as i written below....
just for example....
1-
CORSAIR DOMINATOR-GT 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model CMT4GX3M2A1866C9
this kit have 9-9-9-24

2-
CORSAIR DOMINATOR-GT 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMT4GX3M2A1600C7
having 7-7-7-20

3-
CORSAIR DOMINATOR-GT 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 Desktop Memory Model CMT4GX3M2A2133C9
having 9-10-9-27

which one have better timing?
its neccessary to having knowledge about ram timings....coz many gamers accept me purchased gaming rams but ignored ram timings...
as i purchased
CORSAIR DOMINATOR-GT DDR3 TRIKIT 3X6G-1600 (2GBX3) RECOMMENDED FOR INTEL CORE i7
having 9-9-9-24 but have no idea about its timing... :-(
so please submit your reviews.....

Hello kim_51;

Lower CAS Latency timings are better. But you also have to consider the bandwidth (speed) and timing together to figure out best performance.
DDR3 2133 CL9 RAM might also operate at DDR3 1866 CL8 and DDR3 1600 CL7 (maybe even DDR3 1366 CL6).

* Lowest-latency memory kits are best for multimedia encoding, where speed has little impact. They also improve CPU-dependent tasks, such as image manipulation.
* Highest-speed memory kits are best suited for memory-specific applications, which include large file/application fetches. Some video games may also see minuscule improvements.
