What's better?

2.93GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, or 3.60GHz Intel Core i5? I'm thinking of getting an iMac but I have no idea what would give me the better performance, game wise and general-wise.

You have come to the wrong place, everyone here will advise you to ditch the idea of spending an arm and a leg for a Mac, including myself.

You sir are simply wasting $$$ when buying Mac

If you are gaming at all, get a Windows PC. After that, which i5? The i5-680? If so, I would suggest the i5-750. It's a quad core for $200 that will overclock easily.
