CPU problems? Dell?

SO i have a Dell Optiplex 745. Mini TOwer http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/optix/en/opti_745techspecs.pdf the left one.

So i was trying to replace my Intel Dual core 1.8 ghz really old with the Pentium E5300 2.6 Ghz.

Once i replace it with the Pentium it boots up everything lights up. it runs but the display has no respond. No signal no nothing.
Then i put back the Dual core then the monitor works.

The spec for my optiplex 745 is

300 watts-350 watts
2gb ram
intergrated graphic.

So maybe it's my watts?

I think its just the Mobo doesn't support 45nm C2Ds.

Wait? i though what matters to motherboards is just the socket. Not the Lithography.

Nope, its the same reason older P4 boards doesn't accept C2Ds, the BIOS only recognizes the processors its designated to (in this case up to Conroes), and no more.
