PC WONT TURN ON

Hey guys, the other day i tried to replace an old video card (7900gt), and after i installed the new one (8600gt), nothing is turning on, i put back the old one and it wont come back on either, I tried reseting the cmos, stripping down to the bare essentials (cpu, single ram, and card) still nothing , the mobo makes the normal single beep, but the screen is blank.

do u guys think i fried the mobo?

Sounds like the motherboard may have defaulted to using the on-board GPU. Have you tried plugging the monitor into your on-board GPU then going into the BIOS and disabling the on-board GPU? You should then be able to use the discreet card.

hey there is no onboard gpu, it must mobo, will start looking for another one.
