It is better than entry level cards and should support some casual gaming. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobil [...] 844.0.html

Probably the best would be an HD5870M.

Yours is fine for gaming ~1280x1024, but will run ~medium settings on 1680x1050.

You do realize a laptop doesn't come with an actually "Card", its a chip on your motherboard. Just so you know that you can't take the card out and replace it later, the graphics is part of the motherboard.

Unless you buy an external card for $400+, of course.

If you are an occasional gamer the 4650 maybe ok for you. But if you play games often it won't make you happy. My parents have a new laptop with a T6600 and 4650 mobile GPU. I am able to play most modern games with the settings drastically reduced or completely on low. For the few times that I am over there and need something to do, it works out and gets me by. However, if you want something that is better, I'd look at a laptop with a GTX 260M or a 5730,5850,or 5870 mobile GPU. Mobile gaming is NOT cheap, expect to pay no less than $1000.

THIS would be a real gaming laptop: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6834220695

Something like this wouldn't be to bad either and isn't all that expensive, actually only $900: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6834152190

Here is one at BestBuy with a 5870 and is $1200, VERY NICE, Would be my choice: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+- [...] Id=9741729

Hello and welcome to the forums :)
4650M is mid-range laptop card and can handle new games on medium-low settings.

Two 280M in SLI (basically two G92 9800GTX cards) or two 5870M (a desktop 5770) in CF or dual 4870M in CF. As far a I know alienware is the only one whom supply a dual 4870M configuration. They also have dual 280M solutions, but of course dual 4870Ms would be faster. I haven't seen any dual 5870Ms, but single 5870M laptops are out there.

Check Alienware's site(currently US site only shows 1 5870 but some other AW sites show 2 5870Ms')
