I am wondering if these speeds are normal as they seem kind of slow to me:

Board: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3
CPU: AMD FX 8150
RAM: DDR3 2000mhz
Drive: OCZ Agility 3 90GB
Port Config: RAID (although the SSD isnt in a raid array i have 2x 1tb SATA drives in a raid array)

Here is a benchmark of a Intel 320 Series 80GB SSD:

a c 191 G Storage

The benchmark is good for reading, here the link from OCZ: http://www.ocztechnology.com/res/manuals/OCZ_Agility3_P...

The reading is up to 180MB/s and writing is up 105MB/s (AS-SSD). If you use the ATTO(Crystal Disk Mark) to test then you will get read speed (550MB/s) and write (500MB/s).

Also your MB is using the AMD SATA driver that is slower then the MS AHCI driver, if you use the AMD i think you try to uninstall the AMD one (using the default microsoft drivers ), and run the benchmark again, you can check out the link (someone try it).

And last word: Don't try to benchmark too much and it will hurt the SSD performance.

It seems i can run 4 ports in RAID and 2 in IDE, but no AHCI so i can either run

6x IDE
6x AHCI
4x AHCI +2 IDE
6x RAID
4x RAID +2 IDE
