So a week ago or so I bought 2 x 4GB sticks of PNY MN8192KD3-1066 (PC3 8500) from Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820178335), which I am 95% sure that it is compatible with my Dell Studio XPS 1640 - same timings, voltages, and speed.

I swapped out the two old sticks and installed the new sticks, everything went fine until I got a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD many hours later. Today I got the BSODs again - it occurs pretty randomly with long intervals in-between.

I took out one stick, ran it through memtest, and this is what I got: http://i.imgur.com/KSZyM.jpg

A whole bunch of errors! The tests returned 0 errors up till test #6, moving inversions 32 bit patterns, and after that every single test returned an error. I let it run for a little bit more, and then decided to stop when it hit 4,350,000 errors.

Am I unlucky enough to get a bad stick(s), or is there something I'm doing herp derp retarded? The laptop ran fine 100% of the time beforehand. I haven't tested the other 4gb stick yet.

Thanks,
