I'm helping my friend build a BUDGET gaming rig.

Go to NCIX and compare motherboards.

If you haven't got the graphics card, I strongly recommend the GTX 5xx series as the 4xx series runs very very load and hot.

Your limiting factor in gaming will also be the graphics card. The GTX 560 Ti is an awesome graphics card for a reasonable price.

Do you mean by ''gpu will run hot'' that it will perform poorly, cause artifacts and be dead in a couple of months ?
