Reboot ethernet adapter faulty?

Hello,
Iv recently rebooted my computer installed windows xp etc and i cannot install my netgear as it says my ethernet adapter isnt installed and i have no idea what to do please help

You need to download and install the network drivers from your PC or laptop manufacturer's website.

Since you have re-installed Windows, there may be other drivers you need download from there as well. Look in Device Manager, it will show an error symbol against any devices for which the driver is missing (usually a yellow question-mark).
