System restore not working in windows xp pro

Hello,
owdy my system restore doesn't work and never has i uninstalled kodak easy share with over 3000 pictures on it and need to get it back

System Restore will not restore pictures, documents or videos. It only restores files which are required for Windows to work properly.

If you saved all your pictures in the "My Pictures" folder, uninstalling Kodak EasyShare does NOT remove any of your pictures. If your pictures are missing, something else has caused it.
