8gb vs 4gb for running architecture programs?

Hi, i just want to know whether its worth getting 8Gb of Ram on a new macbook pro or 4Gb. my main use is going to be running things like autocad, 3Ds max, autodesk revit and photoshop. Help would be much appreciated, Chhers

Are you sure you want a Mac? I know they are cool but they really aren't that great for architectural applications. The bootcamp/parallels thing is a pain, the tech is 6 months behind intel based pcs and ATI graphics leave a lot to be desired. Get a workstation class laptop with a quadro for the same price! Not to mention CUDA is starting to come to the forefront for render engines and even photoshop.
