Coloured lines

Please can anyone assist - I have green/red lines appearing on my moniter screen after a few minutes adn cannot figure out how to get rid of them.

Try a different monitor- borrow one from a friend or something. If the lines go away when using the other monitor, that means your monitor is bad. Get a new one.
If those lines are still there when using the other monitor, that means the video card is bad- bad RAM on it or some other issue. Get a new one.
