HD 5870 or HD5770 ????????

Should I buy the HD 5870 or the HD 5770 my system specs are as follows:
MOB: GF8200E
AMD 2.6 G Quad core
2GB RAM
500GB HD
19" Monitor

There is a big price difference between the 2 cards will i notice the difference? also will i be able to play all the latest games? your help on this will be appreciated thanks...

Your 19" monitor in my opinion couldn't go HD anyway, unless you tell me it could. Also the 5870 definately uses a lot more power than the 5770, but I can't recommend unless you tell me what power supply you have and whether or not your willing to upgrade.

What resolution is your 19 incher?
If 16x10 or below i would go with the 5770.

With the 5770 and the rest of your set you should be able
to play most all of the latest games just fine.

Yep. Assuming the resolution is no more than 1680x1050 the 5770 should be able to play most new games on high settings. Even if you want get a higher resolution monitor, the 5850 would probably be enough. Check the graphics card charts here on tom's hardware.

Another vote for HD 5770,although the OP didn't mention the resolution but for a 19" monitor the max resolutions is 1680x1050 and a 5770 suffices for that res

Even if it is a 19x10 res it should still work great.
Probably won't be able to run heavy AA and
all high settings in some games.

I know Crysis was the only game that gave me trouble with AA
on my 19x10 with my 4770.
FC2 played great though and the 5770 is alot better
overall than the 4770.

Well although 5770 would do fine on 1920x1200 but i would personally go for 5850 for resolutions more than 1600x1200 because its significantly faster in those resolutions
