More about bios longer recognizing hard drive
  1. If no connections are loose, then the hardrive could be failing. Any clicking noises previously?
  2. I had a similar problem with my computer. It would intermittently not see one of my hard drives. It turned out to be loose terminal pins on the power connector cable. I tightened them with a metal pick (with the power off!) and plugged it back in. Problem solved.
