Hi All,

Below are the components I recently put together for a new build, I find it a bit loud with the fans set to high inside the Antec case. It appears the MB provides for fan regulation via small connectors on the board. My dilemma: the connectors on the fans do not match the connectors on the board, are there small harnesses I can get to have them mate up?

Thanks in advance,

Frank

There are small male headers on the MB that I assume supply controlled power to the fans to turn them on/off based on the internal temperatures. Those headers are small in comparison to the power connectors of the fans themselves, so I have the fans connected directly to the power supply (always on, not temperature regulated).

Yes, I know the fans have speed control, but I'm looking for on/off regulation based on case temperature, is that not what the MB supports?

Hi saycoda,

Are the molex connectors attached to the fans via the standard small 3 pin connectors?
On both my previous builds they were, if so just remove the molex part and connect directly to the motherboard.
Or buy an adaptor - they surely must make them.
