Power wire options

Hello, This is a new build with a modular PS. It is a bad idea to mix SATA hard drives, DVD drive, and GPU on the same power wire? It would be a bit neater with fewer wires used.

It's fine. Neither of those are power hogs. What kind of GPU?

I can't find too much info on it but one post says your video card draws 212 watts of power (17.6A on 12v) so that's certainly fine. Then again you didn't tell me what kind of psu you had but most modern PSUs have atleast a 20A capacity on a single 12v so you'll be fine.
