Final System Check

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a final sanity check before I buy. Double checking that the components make sense and are compatible. I've never built a computer before, I hope I didn't miss anything.

Applications: Gaming
Resolution: 1920x1080
Parts not needed: Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse

ALL PRICES CANADIAN. A lot of the parts are price matched so the links don't show the prices I have here.

  1. Do you plan to Crossfire?? If not, drop down to the Corsair CMPSU-650TX or if so, keep what you got :D

I would look to add the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus for an aftermarket cooler. Everything looks good to me :)
  2. How sure are you that the 1.35v RAM (vs 1.5v) is the right choice?
That RAM module is on the QVL list but it seems there are some issues of it running @ 1600 on low voltages with AMD boards.

I was going to suggest the Corsair TX650W but I see the TX750 is actually cheaper after rebate. Good find.

Thanks for your response. I never realized this RAM was 1.35v or even that I needed to look at voltage. Do you have any recommendations for a replacement?

Ok.... looks like it's just 7-8-7-24 and that 8-8-8-24 should run fine.

  6. I got that item (and others) off theNewEgg customer reviews for that RAM set. A few other tidbits there about 8-8-8-24 and maybe 1.4v being about right.
