Recommend a HDD?

Hey guys, I want to buy a 1TB HDD, and originally i was considering a seagate barracuda, but ive heard many of them are DOA or die soon after arrival. is this true? can anyone recommend a good, reliable 1TB drive for about $100? thanks!

More about recommend
  1. shameless self bump T.T
  2. theres no problem with getting either WD or seaagate. they all have drives that fail. if you are to want to be safe, get the seagate constellation drives like vodomore recommended since they are enterprise grade and will last much longer
  3. doh, i ordered right before these replies came in haha, i ended up going with the western digital caviar black because i read some good reviews about it, have you heard anything on it?
  4. same thing as the seagate barracuda only with a longer warranty. at the price of a caviar black, i could have gotten the seagate constellation which would be much better
