Hi Guys

I am on a old Dell xps one 2008 Machine currently and can't stand it, its so slow. I am not a gamer. However, I do run multiple programs at the same time such as Photoshop, Dreamwaver and so forth. I would greatly appreciate your inputs regarding building a new intel 1366 based pc on a Asus sabertooth 58x motherboard with 12gigs of ram and i7 930 or should I wait for the new revised Sandy Bridge motherboards to hit the market? Mainly

Would there be a difference in performance?

Would there be a difference in price?

Finally, compared to the 1366 sabertooth motherboard will the new 1155 motherboards be more upgradeable in the future? I like to build something today to last at least 4-5 years.

Solution
Sandy Bridge would have better performance, and would probably be cheaper.

The 1155 motherboards will probably be able to use Ivy Bridge when that comes out beginning of next year, whereas 1366 won't be getting any new processors.

If you want something that will last 4 or 5 years wait for 1155 to be rereleased. The i7 2500K or 2600K are your best bet.
