Memory's effect on overclocking the 2500k

I just wanted to know if I use this ram: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231438&cm_re=g_skill_ripjaws_x-_-20-231-438-_-Product will it effect an overclock on a 2500k? More specifically, an overclock to 4GHz? This ram is designed specifically for the platform and runs at 1333 mhz..do I need a 1600mhz? Please let me know as I'm making this purchase sometime today

Nope you're fine. Unlike the P55/X58 where BCLK gets messed arounf with quite often the P67 doesn't/cannot utilize fast RAM. In fact that's a very good kit; I only recommend either the 1333 MHz CAS 8 and 1600 CAS 8/9 for the P67.

I assume you have a P67 that allows the K CPU to be adjusted?!

Yeah..p8p67 deluxe motherboard and 2500 k chip..only looking for oc between 4-4.2 ..the kits that I posted are sufficient for the overclock I'm looking to get?

As I said, tried to say anyway, you're fine & good to go with the Ripjaws X 1333 MHz CAS 8 that you linked above. The IMC is different than what it once was, and the SB are like hitting a wall with anything much more than the 1333. BTW - RAM is cheap.
