im getting the same error PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA its usually a memory error but its brand new and ive tested it with memtestx86 passed here is a list of the errors

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050 ntoskrnl.exe
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050 spsys.sys
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050 atapi.sys
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050 ataport.SYS
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050 nvlddmkm.sys then one says

0x00000124 ntoskrnl.exe
im really going crazy dont know what to do cant figure out whats the problem after i bought the new gpu and memory i thought that would clear it up maybe its cpu or motherboard maybe even psu or hd here is the full specs

People still go by the power supply wattage rating instead of the brand name. Many lesser brands are overated literally. When you upgrade the video card, go with a name brand ps: antec, pc power and cooling, seasonic, enermax, corsair, some models of ocz (what I use) and some models of xfx. For example, the corsair 650w for around $100 has a single 12v rail rated at 52 amps, much higher than some other brands. Powermax is an awful brand, but that model may be built by someone else. I wouldn't spend that much without going with one of the brands I listed. You are the guiney pig with some no name ps; they may or may not last. If using prime 95, you may have to try one stick at a time and manually set the timings and voltage until you get very few errors. A few errors on an asus board may not be fatal. Asus is picky about ram, and replacing the ram with the same type may not fix anything.

It really sounds like a ram compatibility problem.
I had the same problem. Switched from 2x2gig Patriot Vipers to 2x2gig Corsair and all problems went away.
Memtest would check out ok. but random crashes and Page fault errors persisted until I changed ram.

what amps does my psu have im a noob when it comes to this,is it enough for the gpu
August 1, 2010 4:21:52 PM

There should be a sticker on it somewhere telling you the ratings for each line out
failing that, use this calculator to find out your requirements
http://www.thermaltake.outervision.com/
and buy another if necessary

Have you tested just using 1 stick of RAM? Do that in each bank of the RAM slots.
Then test the 2nd stick of RAM the same way - in each bank of the RAM slots.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh........ lookit this:
GeIL Black Dragon 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
Voltage 2.2V - 2.4V

-> What RAM voltage do you have set in BIOS?

GeIL Black Dragon 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Voltage 1.8V

yes tested one stick all passed fine maybe the motherboard dimm slots are dodgy, computer crashed in prime 95 in place large ffts after 2 hours but passed small ffts for 10 hours what does this tell me thanks for the reply's guys im literally going crazy with not knowing

i have set 2.2v for the ram all manually set timings too
August 1, 2010 4:31:56 PM

You might try 2.3v or even 2.4v. Does your motherboard actually support that? Not all do.

Really, I think you need to drop back to standard 1.8v RAM.
August 1, 2010 4:44:51 PM

How did you figure out what RAM settings to use?
Did you try to tighten them up or loosen the settings?

could it be hd errors maybe i tested with windows and it crashed when i ticked fix boot sectors but i downloaded a tester from the hd makers site and it passed confusing or what

Do you get blue screen errors when you're not testing memory?

I'd back that RAM right off to CL 7 and try and get it stable before tightening the settings to CL5.
Im still thinking it's RAM related.

what do you mean cl 7

i keep getting this blue screen mostly

Thats still a memory error. The Non-paged area means it's actually in RAM, not in the page file.

Your RAM timings now are CL5. Thats pretty tight.

what settings do you suggest,it all started with my last gpu 4870x2 i couldnt install the driver correctly kept bsod and had to run 1 gpu and the other one disabled it just gave a blue screen if i did so i thought it was the gpu all along so i bought the 470 and its still happening,i bought the cpu at the same time as the 4870x2 maybe its that, would it be l2 cache memory

would a hd give these errors
August 1, 2010 10:12:43 PM

Do you have a spare HDD you can use to do a clean install of Windows too?

It probably wouldn't hurt to run Drive Sweeper and then reinstall your graphics drivers.

You may want to also post your topic over into the Motherboards and Memory forum.
Hopefully one of the RAM guru's there can point you in the right direction.

hint: a topic title like "im lost on what to do" isn't the best way to get that 'right person' to look in at your topic.
