I have laptop which has XP operating systen and when I connect this ti my TV Bra

When I connect my lap top to TV and select PC on TV it says device is not connected . I made sure the connection is well using cable VGA . My Laptop has xp operating system

Maybe U have to press a certain key or combination on the laptop. (usually a F key or Fn + another F key) What laptop do U have?
Check Display settings on your laptop, to see if it recognizes monitor, if U can identify, switch, etc.

No its still not working I have tried pressing Fn and F5 in combination dosent work. Tried changing resulation sitt no good. how ever I connected my sons laptop which is running windows 7 i was able to select in the TV the PC and then I connected my laptop which is running xp it worked . but when I chnage channel on TV and want to go back to PC while my laptop with XP connected the TV says device is not connected. Its pretty sick this staff
